Renewed appeal for witnesses to assault – Parramatta

10 Aug 2008
About 11pm on Saturday 2 February, the 27-year-old man ordered food from a restaurant at the intersection of Darcy Street and Church Street. As the man left the restaurant he became involved in an altercation with another man.

It’s alleged a man punched the 27-year-old man in the head causing him to fall to the ground before kicking and stomping on his head. The man was last seen running east along Darcy Street...

“Police would particularly like to speak with a man described as Pacific Islander in appearance, early 20s, medium build, short hair with a tribal tattoo on his right arm.

“He was originally wearing a white t-shirt with words on it; however, this was removed while he was in the restaurant to reveal a blue singlet. He was also wearing a distinctive tribal bone style necklace,” Insp Evans said.
