Police shooting sparks riots in Montreal

Aug 12, 2008
Rioters have torched cars and three police officers were injured late on Sunday ... in a heavily Haitian district of Montreal...

More than 500 police were deployed and six people were arrested in the riots, which erupted after the police shot dead an 18-year-old man on Saturday... Freddy Villanueva, 18, died.

Police have launched an investigation into the shooting, which occurred in an area which frequently sees clashes between street gangs.
Montreal riot result of pent-up anger, community worker says
He said many of the rioters were black, but there were people there from every minority group.

He said the riot is the result of pent-up anger against police.

"The people of this community are complaining about how they are treated," he said.
It's Kevin Andrews' fault.

Take care, any immigrant may go postal

August 06, 2008
A sympathetic comment on the Chinese-Canadian immigrant head chopper...
We should not be too quick to judge. To all appearances, he was a good guy, who tried to work very hard to support his family. He did all kinds of jobs before moving to Edmonton and later taking his family there. He is a husband to a loving wife Anna and had the support of his community and Canadian friends. I guess the stress of everything took a toll on him and Chinese men are not unlike other men who sometimes refuse to admit they have a problem and needs help. Not being able to speak English, being new to the country and having mental confusion can add up to a frightened confused man who perhaps started hearing voices, telling him to kill someone in order to help himself. Tim McLean was that unfortunate man. It is terrible all around.
Dian Fossey, eat your heart out. No need to travel to the jungle to encounter the wildlife anymore. Thanks to immigration, it's here, apparently. Just prod an immigrant with a stick and stand back? That's all it takes to go postal, presumably. Somewhere along the way, we all became lion tamers - but without the whip. We all became social workers, but without the qualifications. Somehow, we all accepted living in the jungle as the price of immigration. Strange.

Guess what is most common surname in Canada?

August 05, 2008
It's not Smith or Johnson. It's not Brown or Gagnon.

Nope. As Allan Wall tells us at Vdare, the most common surname in Canada is Li. That's right. The surname of the Greyhound beheader.

The Greyhound beheader is, in a manner of speaking, the representative Canadian man.

As Bill Bradley said in a speech at the Democratic National Convention many years, ago, "Immigrants are at the center of our society." That's what liberals--including the liberals who call themselves conservatives--wanted, and that's what they've got.

Lawrence Auster on motives of Canadian beheader

August 06, 2008
Oh, hell, why even bother asking these questions? Why pretend that there are any standards of self-preservation to appeal to any more? The Western countries WANT to be destroyed. It's as simple as that.

There is doubt about Vince Weiguang Li's motivation for slaughtering Tim McLean. There is no doubt at all about the motivation of the West in allowing Li--and millions of other unassimilable, often hostile, and often physically or mentally ill non-Westerners--to immigrate into the West.
No doubt at all.

Canada: immigrant gives birth to 18th child

July 29, 2008
ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia - A Romanian immigrant has given birth to her 18th child in British Columbia, making her the province's most prolific mother in 20 years.

British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell and his Environment Minister Barry Penner just finished spending a bundle of taxpayer money on glossy propaganda pushing his fancy "carbon tax" scheme which is supposed to do wonders to counter climate change in this province. Oddly, no comment issued forth from his office about God's personal choice in Abbotsford to thwart the good effects of the carbon tax scheme.

I think that could be for the very good reason that neither the Premier of British Columbia nor any politician in Canada nor any environmental organization in our country will ever acknowledge a link between population growth via the maternity ward or the airport and increased greenhouse gas emissions...

Didn't Simon and Garfunkel do a song called "The Sounds of Silence"? Could have been the theme song about our population debate..
