POLICE are investigating two robberies in 20 minutes near Curtin University yesterday morning when two students were threatened by a knifeman...
The offender is described as a dark-skinned male aged between 22 and 24, 185cm tall, of a slim build, with short black curly hair.

To me Curtin is not safe. There is a huge Aboriginal Faculty (federal funding for hundreds who get BA's in Aboriginal Studies) with a population of hangers- on who target Overseas students quite regularly. This means Campus Security is VERY sensitive about these stories..Overseas students are THE BIG MONEY for unis. Sick situation all round.

I agree, also what good does it do when you have security and police there during the day but not at night when these attacks occur?? Curtin why not spend all that money from international students on better 24 hr security??
