About 6.30pm a cash-in-transit van was parked outside a supermarket in George Street, Parramatta, when three masked men, one carrying a firearm, threatened three armed guards.Just another day in diverse south-west Sydney.
It is alleged two of the guards shot at the masked men. One of the men sustained a gunshot wound before the three men fled the scene in a white Mitsubishi Lancer with stolen number plates.
It is believed the injured 25-year-old man was dropped off at Auburn Hospital where he died a short time later.
