'TV soaps have White Australia policy'

November 15, 2008
Courier Mail
University of Queensland Aboriginal studies lecturer Sam Watson said the dramas were operating an "exclusive white family club" that didn't reflect Australia's true demographic...

Aboriginal MP Marion Scrymgour, who is Arts Minister for the Northern Territory, said people in indigenous communities needed greater representation on television...
At the same time as these pundits are happy to see white TV turn brown, they no doubt would praise the new national Indigenous television network ("for and by indigenous people") as a good thing.

So, if it's good for Aboriginals to have their own TV, wouldn't that make it bad for whites to see their TV turn brown?

If it's equality you seek, then you can't build up your own homogeneous TV station without respecting whites' right to the same.

If it's equality you seek, then if whites can't maintain their dominance over national TV then you would at least grant them the right to their own white TV channel.

But does that enter the brains of these two intellectual giants? I doubt it.

These type of responses raise the questions of: whether these folks do have equality on their minds; and, if Australia has an Obama moment and elects a non-white leader, would they then give a hoot about white rights? Or would they want whites to feel what it's like to be a persecuted minority? "Kick em when they're up. Kick em when they're down"?

The "true demographic" that Watson talks about is one where white Australians live, work, school and study with informal segregation. As one young couple said about leaving an immigrant area: "We didn't want to bring up a family in that sort of area".

I'd say that makes TV's "exclusive white family club" an accurate representation of white life in Australia. Diverse TV programs are, in the main, an unrepresentative fantasy world. So, by all means, create a fantasy channel for the part of Australia that embraces diversity. But give us our white TV that represents real life for most white Australians.

Alice Springs: 'Send in the riot squad'

November 12th, 2008
TERRITORY police were yesterday urged to send their riot squad to Alice Springs... 100 hardcore young criminals were running amok ... "They need to smell fear,'' he said.

Townsville soldier stabbed in senseless attack

November 8th, 2008
A 22-YEAR-OLD soldier received life threatening injuries after he was stabbed in an unprovoked attack in the Townsville CBD early yesterday ... with a male Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person ...

"It did not appear the man was trying to rob anyone and there was no previous altercation earlier in the night between the men," he said.
Senseless, random, unprovoked, unexplainable, baffling, perplexing. Must be a virus, there's a lot of it going around ...

Irish girls attacked in Bundaberg over a cigarette

October 13 2008
THREE Irish backpackers have become the latest victims of an unprovoked, vicious assault while travelling in Australia.

The three girls from Westmeath, Galway and Dublin were attacked and badly beaten outside a take-away in the east coast town of Bundaberg.

They were knocked to the ground, punched and kicked by three aboriginal girls in a row "over a cigarette".

Police who viewed CCTV footage of the assault outside Hungry Tum 24-hour eatery said they could clearly see the assailants punching and kicking the victims on the ground.

A spokesperson for Queensland police said the incident was a totally unprovoked attack.

"Three female backpackers were accosted outside a 24-hour eatery by three 17-year-old aboriginal girls," he said...

Meanwhile, the three Irish victims and a Swedish friend have asked not to be identified, but one has described the terrifying experience.

"It was all just over a cigarette," the female victim, from Galway said.

"It all happened in a split second. It was fairly frightening and we're pretty shaken up."

She explained: "I was pushed to the ground and they started kicking me in the head. I went to hospital and had x-rays done, just in case, because of the blows to the head, but everything is OK, thankfully...

The security footage showed how the three girls beat the backpackers after one of the tourists refused to give them cigarettes outside the store.

During sentencing, magistrate Neil Lavaring said: "There has been a number of assaults and it has been in the public limelight.

"There has been considerable injuries, deaths and all sorts of things."
Yes, all sorts of things. Here's another victim of "have you got a cigarette?": Eddie Spowart.

Machete attack on Perth bus

2nd November 2008
In Balga, a 50-year-old bus passenger received cuts, minor abrasions and machete wounds during a fight with three Aboriginal youths aged between 10-16.
If you call yourself the 'biggest gang' in Australia, then don't be surprised if your kids take those words seriously.

Aborigines v Samoans (and Maoris) part 2

October 28, 2008
*** Comments are closed for this post ***
UP to 150 protesters have vowed to avenge the death of NRL star Johnathan Thurston's uncle during a protest outside a court south of Brisbane...

Richard Saunders' uncle, Wayne Saunders, said Aboriginal elders had decided to sever all cultural ties with New Zealand Maori, even though they were not linked to the killing, and other Pacific Island groups because of alleged continuing violence by islanders.

"Enough is enough," he said.

"We want to sever all ties with the Maoris and Samoans until they are taught cultural respect.

"These people are working in gangs ... (and) are murdering our people."

Wayne Saunders said he did not want to avenge his nephew, but dozens of other protesters voiced their intention to get even.

One protester, who refused to give his name, said: "If (the Pacific Island community) want to bring it on, they just messed with the biggest gang in Australia."

[And he also called them a 'pack of dogs']

BRIAN Hopper's face is a study in hatred.

"We don't want 'em here," the 22-year-old hollered yesterday. "We give 'em everything -- they get over here, they get free houses, cars and money and they jump the f..king queue and I'm still f..king waiting."

Mr Hopper's rant came not at a white-racist rally, but during a showdown between two of the most downtrodden groups in Australia -- Aborigines and Pacific Island immigrants...

The case has become the flashpoint for conflict between the two communities in Logan, a disadvantaged district at the end of the line from Brisbane, on the way to the glitz of the Gold Coast.

While not commenting on the alleged murder, protester Sovannah Garcia, 20, told The Australian that Islanders had formed two gangs, the Bloods and the Crips, in Beenleigh.

"They get around in gangs, we get around in tribes," she said.

"It's not just the Aborigines; there are a lot of other people out there who will get picked on."

The president of the Logan Elders association, who did not want to be named for fear of retribution, claimed Aboriginal children had been called "coons" by Islanders, and spat upon in buses.

The victim's nephew Frank Saunders claimed that Samoans were "just violent people".

"They won't mix in with the rest of Australia," he said. "They've gotta learn Australian culture."

His sister Michelle Saunders spoke of "racism between the Aborigines and Samoans".

"They're very violent, very push-overy and they work in mobs," she said. "They won't mix in. They gotta know we can't put up with that." ...

"They're bigger than our children and they do whatever they want," she said. "I tell (the youngsters), 'When you go to school and they say anything to you, you just walk away'.

"We correct our children. They can correct their children, too, because this has got to stop."
Don't you love it? Start with the white fella as the benchmark for racism, and anyone else's racism must naturally be due to downtrodden circumstance. Consistency is a virtue...

I lived near Logan for a few years and I didn't feel disadvantaged. This is the first I've heard of Islanders being downtrodden. What did we do to them?

Logan Aboriginal elder ``Uncle’’ Wayne Saunders called on Pacific Islander community leaders to speak to their people in the wake of Saturday’s attack and stop further violence.

``Until they (elders) can teach their people cultural respect, they are visitors here to our country, and if they’re going to bring violence from their country we say it’s not good enough,’’ he said.

``We’re calling for calm from our people so we’re asking them as elders of their groups to go and talk to their people and dismantle these gangs.’’

A BRAWL in a Logan park on Saturday, in which an Aboriginal man was allegedly murdered was sparked by a bashing earlier that night.

This was said by the Samoan community yesterday in their first public defence of the violence that has thrust the two minority groups into open conflict.

A Samoan woman said two of their "boys" were bashed hours before Richard Saunders died.

"It's not something that our boys would just walk up and beat him to death, it's something that they started," said the woman, who asked to be known only as Anne.
Irreconcilable differences. Game over. Back to the drawing board for the diversity ideologues to diagnose yet another botched utopia. I can hear the stomping of the integration fascists marching in. But how, when there's no white guy to blame? I'm sure they'll find a way to blame us.

Indigenous TV channel begins broadcasting

Oct 27, 2008
A national Indigenous television network, established by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders last year, will begin broadcasting on digital channel 40 to homes in the Sydney metropolitan area from today.

NITV is the latest free-to-air digital channel, along with ABC2, SBS and channels 7, 9 and 10.

Its publicity material says the channel features "a daily news and weather service created for and by indigenous people, award-winning sports programs, stunning dramas, insightful documentaries, cultural programming, music events, children's shows, hilarious comedy, indigenous lifestyle and reality series and entertaining movies".
That's great. But are the same rights afforded to whites? No. White TV is just lambasted as hilarious or hideously white and turns browner by the day. And whilst indigenous are granted land rights, is the same afforded to whites? Can the people of Camden resist the Islamification of their area? No. Consistency is not a virtue, apparently.

Two Curtin University students attacked and robbed

August 20, 2008
POLICE are investigating two robberies in 20 minutes near Curtin University yesterday morning when two students were threatened by a knifeman...

The offender is described as a dark-skinned male aged between 22 and 24, 185cm tall, of a slim build, with short black curly hair.
Reader comment
To me Curtin is not safe. There is a huge Aboriginal Faculty (federal funding for hundreds who get BA's in Aboriginal Studies) with a population of hangers- on who target Overseas students quite regularly. This means Campus Security is VERY sensitive about these stories..Overseas students are THE BIG MONEY for unis. Sick situation all round.

Aboriginals and Abbott criticise guest worker scheme

August 20, 2008
THE powerful Kimberley Land Council says a Federal Government plan to import Pacific Islanders to pick fruit in rural communities is "shameful".

The council has thrown its weight behind Opposition indigenous affairs spokesman Tony Abbott, who says Aborigines will feel cheated when they see Pacific Islanders being paid to pick fruit while they languish on welfare...

"The kind of money which employers are putting up to bring them in and repatriate them would be much better invested in getting local Aboriginal people a start in the local economy," Mr Abbott told The Australian yesterday...

Kimberley Land Council boss Wayne Bergmann accuses the Government of taking "the easy option" instead of investing in its most disadvantaged citizens...

As Mr Mundine put it: "If you're going to fly people from the Pacific islands, what's wrong with flying people from Cape York, for instance. Or Karratha, or Melbourne, or Sydney, or Brisbane, or Nhulunbuy."

Racism storm as store bans 'coloureds'

August 1, 2008
ALLEGATIONS of racism have been levelled against the owners of last year's NSW liquor store of the year after staff were instructed to keep "coloureds" out of the shop unless they were willing to come in individually and be searched - and to call police if they refused.

Tim Leonard, the owner of the Old Bar Cellars near Taree, on the North Coast, wrote a memo to staff in February outlining new rules for Aboriginal customers: "due to the fact that we have now had three known incidents of shop lifting involving the one coloured girl plus friends who has come in with two or three others coloureds [sic]".

NT coast belongs to Aborigines: court

July 30, 2008
The High Court has ruled Aborigines control more than 80 per cent of the Northern Territory coast, ending a 30-year battle for indigenous rights to the sea.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd called for calm following the landmark ruling, which has massive implications for Aboriginal people, governments and the fishing industry.

It means traditional owners - from the East Alligator River in the Van Diemen Gulf to the Roper River in the Limmen Bight - have the power to exclude fishermen from the inter-tidal zone.

First county Koori court to open

July 30, 2008
AUSTRALIA'S first County Koori court will be established in Victoria.

The court, in the Latrobe Valley, will run as a four-year pilot, providing an alternative sentencing process for Aboriginal offenders.

Deputy Premier and Attorney-General Rob Hulls said it would be the first time in Australia a Koori court would operate in a higher jurisdiction, and built on the success of models in the lower magistrates and children's courts.

Push to recognise indigenous rights in Constitution

July 23, 2008
KEVIN Rudd today declared it was time to recognise the rights of indigenous people in Australia's Constitution.

In Arnhem Land for a historic cabinet meeting, Mr Rudd said the Government would "give attention to detailed, sensitive consultation with indigenous communities about the most appropriate form and timing of constitutional recognition".

The Prime Minister's pledge came after he accepted a petition from 13 of Arnhem Land's most senior traditional men, who called for their "self-evident" rights to be recognised in the Constitution.
Good, but will whites likewise get recognition? Will we get a homeland? Or will we continue to be pushed out of our lands by unrelenting immigration? Or don't we deserve any permanent home because we are 'evil' colonisers?
