NT: two glassing incidents

July 23rd, 2008
A WOMAN fought to hold back tears as she told yesterday of how she will be scarred for life after she was glassed by a drunken reveller at a popular Darwin pub.

Bruised and battered with 10 stitches to her face, Brenda Collins said she did nothing to deserve the brazen attack... it may have started because she and an unknown woman also on the dancefloor "bumped''...

"I've heard of lots of other incidents recently -- it is very sad ... you should be able to go out without looking over your shoulder all the time.''...

A DARWIN soldier's life will never be the same after he lost an eye in a "ferocious and unprovoked'' attack at a popular Darwin nightspot.

Andrew Blain's left eye was "obliterated'' when an unknown reveller rammed a glass into his face at The Lost Arc about 2.30am on Sunday...

The alleged offender is described as being in his late 30s, with short dark hair, a tanned complexion and a solid build, weighing over 100kg. He was wearing jeans and a dark coloured T-shirt at the time.
No races mentioned. Regardless, our culture is going to the dogs. If you create a cultural vacuum with diversity, liberalism, cultural relativism, don't be surprised if something ugly fills it. Notice how it takes nothing to start a fight these days.
