August 7, 2008
His latest project, the 30-minute film Lakemba, has not improved his opinion of current affairs television. Filming in Lakemba, he and the cameraman were threatened by locals who thought they were a television crew come to spy on them.

"It's completely understandable when you think what shows like Today Tonight have done to the suburb," he says. "If there's a story about terrorists in Afghanistan, they'll go and film a chicken shop in Lakemba. Of course the residents are going to get angry."
Of course, threats are an acceptable response.
