Another assault at 'house of horrors', Qld

September 11, 2008
A NEWTOWN "house of horrors" has become the scene of another savage assault six months after a 22-year-old man was left to die at its front door.

Three men aged 18, 20 and 22 have been arrested and charged with allegedly holding a 24-year-old woman hostage with a butcher's knife on Tuesday night.

The Sudanese woman was in the house with two children at the time of the home invasion which occurred at 11.30pm, according to police. Sources say the group of Sudanese men threatened to cut her fingers off.

The house is the same one in which the son of Toowoomba Sudanese elder Albino Chol Thiik was savagely beaten on the morning of March 15.

Samuel Thiik, 22, is still being treated for the serious head injuries he suffered while the man charged with attempting to kill him, Ajac Wac, will appear again in Toowoomba Magistrates Court later this month...
